Cumberland's Inimitable Charm

I have never seen a more wildly beautiful place. With it's ruins of the Carnagies' Dungeness to it's wild horses, Cumberland holds more mystery and magic than any other place I have ever been. The primitive camping under the twisted branches of the live oaks makes me feel like I am part of the island, and it's mysterious magic, even if only for a week each year. Still, the ambience of the island stays with me the rest of the year until I get to visit my beloved island again.
